The Story Behind the Project

This isn’t merch. It’s not a reproduction. It’s a small extension of my practice — a way to carry a piece of what I do into everyday life, in the most thoughtful and considered way possible.

I’ve always loved the idea of wearable art, but only if it felt honest. I didn’t want to simply place a painting on a shirt. I wanted to create something I’d actually reach for — something I’d wear in the studio or out with my kids. Something with the same intention I put into my large-scale work, just in a different form.

But it’s not only about the artwork — the shirt itself matters too. For me, clothing is all about feel. Not just how it feels on me — it won’t even make it to that point if I don’t connect with the texture of the fabric first. Being sensory-sensitive, I notice everything that touches my skin. It has to feel right — soft, breathable, and grounding — or I simply won’t wear it.

That’s why the material mattered just as much as the design. I wanted this to offer a true sensory experience the moment you put it on. Something you could reach for again and again — simple, clean, and quietly intentional.

So this is where I began: a limited edition shirt, created as a collector-worthy piece. Minimal. Honest. Made with care.

Why Black and White?

If you know my work, you know it’s layered, bold, and unapologetically full of colour.

But what I wear? It’s usually black or white — simple, clean, and subtle. I’m drawn to soft but structured pieces, with just a small detail that quietly makes a statement. This release had to reflect that — a wearable piece of art I’d actually choose for myself.

And maybe most importantly: I like doing things that feel slightly unexpected. A colourful shirt would have been the obvious move. But this — this stark, minimal detail — feels like a quiet surprise.

A deliberate contrast to what people might expect. That contrast alone makes it exciting.

Two Fits

Classic Fit — A timeless, more contoured silhouette. Clean and everyday. Boxy Fit — Structured and relaxed with a modern edge. I offered two fits because bodies aren’t one-size-fits-all. What we wear impacts how we feel — and what feels good is different for everyone. Some prefer a tailored fit. Others feel most like themselves in something more relaxed. Neither is better. These pieces were carefully chosen to work across all genders and body types — to honor individuality, comfort, and ease. This drop is about honouring choice and comfort. They’re intentionally made, thoughtfully sourced, and offered in limited numbers only.
