Mixed media exploring memory, intuition, and identity.

hi, I am Nadia & this is my Artist Statement

I create from intuition, working in the space between sensation and expression. My practice is shaped by colour, movement, and emotional truth, revealing fragmented forms and layered memories. As a late-diagnosed neurodivergent woman, I follow sensory instinct over structure, allowing each piece to emerge raw, vulnerable, and honest — a reflection of what is felt more than known.

Collections

  • Colours of Becoming (2023–2025)

Explores identity through large-scale, intuitively layered mixed-media works. Faces emerge and dissolve in vivid colour, tracing the shifting edges of self, memory, and transformation.

  • Project: Pressed Reflections 2025

A collection of original relief prints created through drawings incised into foam board, inked, and pressed by hand. Each piece carries the raw immediacy of the process — faces emerging in stark contrast, shaped by pressure, intuition, and memory.

  • Project: Artificial Memories 2023

A series built from imagined memories — moments with a father I never had. Created through AI and intuition, these images explore longing, absence, and the quiet ache of ‘what if.’

I invite you to read the story behind my Artificial Memories Project.
